LIFT-ECHO LogoLearn Intestinal Failure TeleECHO (LIFT-ECHO) is an online community of medical professionals dedicated to supporting the treatment and management of patients with intestinal failure. LIFT-ECHO utilizes the ECHO® model, which links specialists at academic hubs with primary care clinicians and other non-specialists in local communities. Teams of practitioners with expertise in nutrition, gastroenterology, surgery/transplant, patient advocacy, and insurance provide virtual consultations during scheduled, web-based clinics.

CONTINUING EDUCATION INFORMATION

Goal and Target Audience: The Learn Intestinal Failure TeleECHO Clinic (LIFT-ECHO) is an online community of medical professionals, including dietitians, nurses, pharmacists, physicians, and other ancillary healthcare team members dedicated to supporting the treatment and management of intestinal failure patients. LIFT-ECHO has the goal of connecting specialist teams at academic “hubs” with primary care clinicians or other non-specialists in local communities to result in improving the care provided to patients in the local communities. 

Successful Completion: To obtain credit for the LIFT-ECHO programs, attendees must participate in the entire program and complete an evaluation in ASPEN’s eLearning Center. Certificates can be printed or stored in the eLearning Center. ASPEN submits data as required to the CPE Monitor for pharmacists. ASPEN submits physician earned CME credits into Pars. ASPEN does not submit data to any other credentialing organization.

Pharmacists and physicians, please note that ASPEN will upload earned CE credit into the appropriate system within the required timeframe.  Any credit not claimed by the deadline will not be entered.  Please provide your correct information when completing your evaluation and claiming CE credit.  ASPEN submits only the information that is entered by the pharmacist or physician when credit is claimed and is not responsible for following up to obtain any corrected information to ensure an error-free submission.

Jointly Accredited Provider_colorIn support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) and The Recanati Miller Transplant Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital/Icahn School of Medicine.  ASPEN is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

ASPEN designates this [each] live activity for a maximum of  1 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Pharmacists: ASPEN designates each program for a maximum of 1 contact hours/0.1 CEUs. UANs will be provided with individual program materials.  Knowledge activity.

Nurses: ASPEN designates each program for a maximum of 1 nursing contact hours.  ASPEN is approved as a provider of continuing nursing education by the California Board of Nursing, provider number CEP3970. 

Dietitians: ASPEN designates each activity for a maximum of 1 CPEU.
