On February 17, 2022, Abbott initiated a proactive, voluntary product recall of certain powder formulas (Similac, Alimentum and EleCare) manufactured in Sturgis, Michigan, one of the company’s manufacturing facilities. Additionally, on February 28, 2022, Abbott voluntarily recalled one lot of Similac PM 60/40 (lot # 27032K80 (can) /27032K800 (case)) also manufactured in Sturgis, Michigan. This recall does not include any metabolic nutrition formulas and does not affect liquid products from any plant or powder formulas from other plants.
However, Abbott's metabolic products and Similac PM 60/40 are experiencing an extended supply interruption. Unfortunately, at this time we do not know when these products will be available to ship.
For information related to recalled product, please visit SimilacRecall.com. This website is dedicated to this recall to determine if product is included in the recall using the lot locator and learn how to secure a refund or replacement product.
For all other questions including products experiencing a supply interruption, Abbott has a Consumer Relations hotline (1-800-986-8540) to answer questions, determine if product is included in the recall and get the most up-to-date information.
